You just wouldn't believe the day...

Computer crash--hard drive or something.
Move all my conference stuff downstairs to work in Tim's office since he's in MS.
Things are rolling along and I'm back in the middle of it.
Power goes off.
Stays off.
Off.
Power comes back on.
Boot computer back up.
Try again to boot computer up.
Computer won't boot.
No one's computer will boot.
Holly throws me from the ship calling me Jonah.

HOWEVER--

Ella is ELLA again! She's back to her bubbly hilarious self. Her eyes look clear and she's feeling great!
Sam's better too--back to his normal, smiley self.
PLUS--
I'm completely jazzed about the conference. Things are coming together nicely and we're all feeling this great excitement about what's coming in a couple of days.

AND--

God is good. There is no pit so deep that His love is not deeper still. I didn't really have a pit today, but shared some time this morning with someone who is in a pit. She's having to watch her husband of 50 years or so suffer the effects of a stroke. She's walking with dignity and yet with great burden. She reminded me this morning that we need to encourage people that God doesn't always get us OUT of the pit (see yesterday's blog). But His love reaches deeper. His love surrounds more powerfully than any shadow. It envelopes us--even in times of doubt. His love walks with us through the valley of the shadow of death.

We praise Him, not for removing us from hardship, but for walking with us THROUGH anything we face!
